Mr. Jameson sympathized with the 50 people who faced job cuts at Bretby Hotel and Conference Centre.
He also warned that the closure may lead to a possibly much wider damage. The incident has left Archers from the all- England, regional, county displaced. And not just that, even the Olympic Squad now has nowhere to practice. He thinks that the people who have used this excellent facility over the years will have to face harsh Knock on effects of this unfortunate closure as the social outlet for our members of all ages has been brought to a sudden halt.”

IEN’S SCORES A DOUBLE AT THE VENUE VERDICT AWARDS
The market research specialist BDRC continental’s The VenueVerdict Awards gave IET venues the Gold standard Brand award in the 2010 BDRC continental VenueVerdict Awards and that’s not all! IET venues also received the No.1 UK Brand Award.
After analyzing nearly 17000 customer feedback forms across the 200 UK conference hotels and venues,
All three IET conference venues in London, Glasgow and Birmingham scored more than 90 per cent for overall performance throughout the whole year and received The Gold standard accreditation.
Almost 80 per cent of the venues that participated in the survey in the past two years, i.e. 2009 and 2010 have recorded very good improvements in their year on year scores. In the individual venues, Regus, Principal Hayley and QHotels were the top three brands to deliver improved results within their subscribing portfolios.
Surprisingly, the brands that have finished first, second and third in the league table for overall performance also hold the same position in the value for money ratings. James Bland, senior client services manager at BDRC continental told us that even the Savvy buyers are aware of the competitive rates that are available in the marketplace, but being cheap does not guarantee good value for money service. It’s like a two sided equation. You’ll only be making the right decision if both the sides are equally balanced.

The £871.5m investment by last year by the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Dutch investor Algemene Pensioen Groep, made them the 50 per cent stake owners. Also 75 per cent of the shops in the shopping centre have been occupied.
The start of the final year is the symbol of the countdown that has now started to tick over London.
It is the time to make final preparations for the games. The date 27 july,2011 is the date that is set the Olympic Delivery Authority. If the city meets with the date, it will mark the completion of all the key venues, including the laying down of tracks for athletes. The facility will then be handed over to the organizing committee.
As of now, the progress is smooth and the construction of the key stadiums seems to be running ahead of the schedule. Veldrome is expected to be the first venue to be completed this spring, Olympic Stadium and the canoe slalom venue at Lee Valley White Water Centre opening for public use in this summer and April respectively.
